Old Massett Village Council

The Old Massett Village Council is dedicated to serving 5000 community members. Since time immemorial, we have occupied, governed, and responsibly managed Haida Gwaii and it’s surrounding waters



Helijet has been a proud and active participant in British Columbia’s growth for 35 years. In 1986, with a carefully conceived vision, a single helicopter, and a handful of enthusiastic employees, Helijet launched Canada’s first scheduled helicopter service. From that single helicopter, flying eight times a day between downtown Vancouver and downtown Victoria, Helijet has grown into a dynamic company with operations in Richmond, Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii. Helijet’s fleet of medium and large helicopters, is maintained, flown and administered by a dedicated crew of over 150 employees. Helijet is proud of its growth and accomplishments, and looks forward to many more decades of service.


Haida Child and Family Services

Building a new, traditional model of child welfare that exemplifies the traditional Haida way of life to enrich the lives of children and families in our Haida Gwaii communities.


Council of the Haida Nation

The Council of the Haida Nation was formed in 1974 to organize citizens into one political entity.


First Peoples Cultural Council

Established in 1990 through the First Peoples' Heritage, Language and Culture Act, FPCC has been offering services and programs to support Indigenous language, arts, and culture revitalization in British Columbia


Haida Watchmen

The Haida Gwaii Watchmen launched the first modern guardians program in the country. Operating since 1981, they patrol the Pacific Coast off Haida Gwaii, monitor fisheries, maintain cultural sites and help the Haida care for the land and sea according to traditional values.


Highlander Marine Services Ltd

Highlander Marine Services Ltd (HMS) is committed to providing specialized marine support services in a professional, consistent manner. Our trailerable, high-speed, aluminum catamaran landing crafts and highly trained crew are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to help get your job done.


Carl Hart Legacy Fund

Launched in 2016, the Carl Hart Legacy Fund is building an endowment to support youth-oriented programs at Rediscovery T’aalan Stl’ang in perpetuity. Rediscovery gives young people on Haida Gwaii a chance to reconnect with the land, their culture and their communities. Gwaii Trust has agreed to match the first $250,000 in donations.
